The Healing Garden

Quite different from what I normally do, this entry is an expression of what an art journal can do. We all have hurts in our lives and tend to carry them in our pockets like treasures. Let them go, move forward, and bloom. It’s easier said than done but I guarantee that once you remove the lint from your pocket you’ll be much happier and freer than you have been since childhood. The white of the person symbolizes her soul. Since we don’t know what a soul looks like I went with this image to signify the emptiness she was feeling. The black surrounding her is the insurmountable wall of darkness that she feels around her. The broken heart is not just her heart but her life as well and the band aid, ever so tiny, is the love of healing. Love yourself, do good things for yourself, take care of yourself, and you will see yourself flourish.
