Wine Angel

Last week while watching the Will Work for Food on Food Network with my hubby we learned all about the job of a Wine Angel. I was really intrigued as I’d never seen anything like it before. I was prompted by this to paint my own version of a wine angel and here’s what I came up with.

She’s woodburned on to birch wood and topped off with the use of rubberstamps, tissue paper, copper leafing, melted crayons, gel pens, embellishments, acrylic paint, ink, watercolors pencils, and digital text. She was a lot of fun and a bit challenging as I bought this tissue paper a few days before starting her and was eager to use it. As with the Merlot Maid, the colors of the collaging paper I chose dictated what I would be using on the rest of the painting. I’m happy with her as I got to dabble with colors I don’t normally use, mainly orange. I’ve started a ladybug painting which I will be playing with this week as I work on Valentine love on the side. Wish me luck!
