Here’s a few journal pages I’ve been doing for the journal swap I’m in that was organized by Teri Leigh of InspireTo Believe This journal belongs to Mary of A Splendid Adventure. This journal is head and shoulders above any other journal I’ve ever seen. The paper is to die for. It made from a vintage hardback book with the original pages removed and the wonderful drool-worthy art paper hand sewn in ~ in wonderful signatures. Truly this journal is a treat and a privelage to work/play in. I have a third spread I’m working on now that I will share when it’s completed. For now it’s a secret! =) I’m also working on a few paintings and a Hula Girl card for a fellow employee of my DH’s who’s retiring next week and is planning on spending much time in her time-shares in Hawaii! How FUN is that!? I’ll have the card done today and will be playing with the journal this weekend so it will be ready for mailing at month’s end. I can’t wait to see what the next journal in this swap will be like. I’m excited about seeing all the entries and the wonderful art and ideas that I’m sure will inspire me! =) I’m working diligently on getting some necklaces done and will be getting them ready for my reopening at Etsy! I’m very excited about it. I’ve had great feedback on the jewelry and I’ll be looking into seeing what other wonderful trinkets and treasure I can turn my art into. Have a super great weekend and enjoy some BBQ! If the weather here stays as cool as it is I’ll be making homemade clam chowder with homemade bread this weekend. I’ll be sure to be a herione! Hee!
