Tadpole Paisley

Having fun with stencils! Both of the paisleys in this painting are from stencils I recently acquired. From my strange imagination I thought that a big paisley would be kind of cute as a “tadpole-style mermaid.” I used tissue papers, mass amounts of Sparkly Glitter Glue in Blue Topaz. Rubberstamps and bottle caps are used to add “bubbles” so it gives the idea that there’s water there… even if it is Orange Fizz! =) I used small squares of crepe paper that I “smooshed up” with my paint brush while using Mod Podge to “glue” them on. Lots of sparkle added to this using the glue, glitter, gel pens, sparkle glaze, and Twinkling H2Os. This turned out as a sparkly mess of papers and layers. I added sparkle under her eyes and shadowed her make up with black pastel pencils. Now I’m drawing out my oak leaf painting. I can’t wait to get the woodburning done. I’ll have her drawn out and ready for that by the end of the evening. YAY! I’m “falling” in love my some of my “fall” paintings this year. Keep Kreating and God Bless you all.
