Navajo Sun! The end of summer brings Indian summers to different parts of the country. This piece was inspired by all the different embellishements at my fingertips. I just bought the paper that the dress is collaged with. It actually look just like fabric in person. The color was so vibrant and gorgeous that I thought it perfect for this Navajo Princess. She’s guilded with beads, and feathers, and gold leafing to emphasize the richness of the earth that she lives off of. Her eyes are copper with sparkles and she’s at peace with the passing of the summer season as it’s now time for her to reap what the summer season gifts to us in the autumn! Winter will soon be on it’s way and she’ll be wrapped in a wonderful fur by the fire eating s’mores. Hehe! God Bless you all this Sunday and I’ll be back here tomorrow with yet another little painting to share. Time to check on dinner! mmm…
