Tissue papers, rubberstamping, tons of gold leafing, and a candy-bar wrapper topped with nail polish “dots’ crown her head. This 4×4 painting is layered with lots of yummy goodness and a gold heart around her neck. I undercoated the “dress” area with lavender paint and used ripped up and crumpled lavender tissue paper to make this gauzy looking wrap. The gold leafing helps to emphasize the folds and edges of the dress layers. I added the leafing to the “candy-bar-wrapper crown” to add extra depth and to make the piece more cohesive. With a lack of purple mini rhinestones I dug through my nail polish and added rich colored “dots” to her crown. She’ll be strung with purple fun fur once I’ve varnished and drilled holes in the top. Then she’ll be ready for a festival!
