♥ Ripplette Van Winkle ♥
A few weeks ago I was looking at varies prompt sites for artistic inspiration. One of them was the word “ripple.” I’m positive this is NOT what they had in mind ~ but I instantly thought of Rip Van Winkle… and thought…why not Ripplette Van Winkle. So I pulled out my art journal and went to play. Most of what ends up in my art journal stays in Vegas. (Hi….I’m Vegas!) but sometimes I share the non-personal stuff. This was so fun that I thought I’d give you a peek at the pretty sleeping gray-haired Ripplette. I used a handful of mediums as usual and some glitter punched circles from some awesome paper my mom bought me. I used a credit card and green paint to make the grass, I stamped on the butterflies and the sun.. and added highlights and a bit of shading. I wish I could sleep this well. I fell asleep last night at 4:00 A.M and work up before 8:00 A.M. I have been working on getting our living room back to normal after having it in havoc during my ankle recovery. I’ve managed to finish up some vacuuming and got the table into place so life looks normal in that room again. I’m in the middle of mopping the kitchen right now. The floor got slippery so I’m letting it dry and I’m going back in sock-footed for the final swish! Then I’m going to hit the showers and get freshed up for a wonderful Friday evening later tonight and a new episode of Merlin!
