♥ Working in Progress ♥
I’m nowhere near done with this painting but I wanted to share the process with you. As I’ve not yet mastered my video program, I’ll share photos of the painting with. Until I learn my video program … I chose the colors according to palettes that my sister likes. I know it’s not something she would hang in her living room but I have to keep trying and experimenting on different colors and techniques. I’m a huge fan of pinks and lime greens and brighter colors but doing something that is done is golden warm colors is very rewarding for me.
This painting is done with warm greens, bricks, and golds. Something I don’t work in often.Yet something I would like to try more of. So far I’ve used sage greens, and brick reds along with gold. I’ve added black rub ons and will continue to include rubber stamped images in brick and gold along with stencils in a darker green. I have a goal in mind but sometimes the painting dictates to me what it wants and what I want gets put on the back burner. I adore rub ons and wish I had more. I think the black ones here look great and will help accent the piece as I progress.
I forgot to look ahead for dinner as my eyes were going tired and I took a break and what did I end up doing but reading! HAH! Not at all easy on the eyes. I guess I’ll be making toasted cheese sammies for dinner tonight.
My Whispers for today are….
- My life is a process much like my paintings… sometimes I mess up so I layer over the top and redo until I’m happy!
- One of my favorite juices and least favorite colors is Orange!
- I had to wear braces on my feet when I was a little kid as my feet turned inward.
- I still love the smell of a child’s school box.. filled with pencils and crayons.. How it takes me back!
- When I graduated Kindergarten the principle called me Tommy instead of Tammy…/scars remain!
Tomorrow is shopping day again so I hope to find some new and unusual ingredients to experiment with as well as a trip down the art section of the store. Oh how I love shopping. (Shhhh! Don’t tell! Most people detest a trip to the grocery.)
