  Nom Nom

As part of my venture to stay out of the cooking rut I’d been in for the past few years I’m doing something different with the green beans tonight. These are fresh green beans, washed and trimmed and parboiled for 4 minutes in salted water. I added them 2 cloves of garlic, a small white onion that I had caramelized and tossed with some 2 slices of precooked and crumbled bacon. Add some sea salt and some freshly ground pepper and finish with 1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. I’m serving these with baked Italian breadcrumb encrusted chicken breasts. Today’s art is of the culinary kind!

As tomorrow is March 1st it got me to thinking about St. Patrick’s Day and green seemed appropriate for painting with as well as cooking with today! So get ready! Batten down the hatches… March will likely be coming in like a lion yet again this year!

What’s on your plate tonight?
