Green Gift Greets!

I was just playing around with materials on my desk while waiting for paint to dry this past week and decided to do something with these square cards I bought oh so many years ago. I sponged the edges, stuck each with a leaf sticker, and cut some circles from fabric and papers and glued them all together… I punched some wee little holes on the opposite side and strung some jute through them and tada! Gift tags! Super easy, super quick and the impact is powerful with the vivid colors. I’ll be putting these and several more of my creations up on my Etsy this coming week so be sure to stop by and see what’s new in the shop! I hope your Sunday is also a Funday and that you have some time for creating, or movies, or whatever it is that makes you smile! See you back here tomorrow with one mess or another. Happy Day!

It’s Good To Be King

I made this painting to use for making invitations to my dad’s surprise birthday party this coming month. I got the idea from my “It’s Good To Be Queen” painting. Dad is the king of his castle after all, or at least the king of his woodworking shop! I’m going to Photoshop some party info onto the top of this and print out postcards and fill them out and mail them. It’s quite a fun project! I haven’t been able to use natural lighting for photos since I broke my ankle, so the colors in this aren’t’ quite perfect but they are close. I used a satin varnish on this so it really has a lot of shimmer which never shows up via the Internet. Tomorrow starts my physical therapy and I’m more than a bit apprehensive! I literally can’t walk… yet, I can do all things through Christ! Amen! This too shall pass! See you back here tomorrow.

Making Greetings!

Postcards from Tammy’s Studio!

This idea was suggested to me by my dear friend M at HeartsĀ  Desire4 Joy and I thought she was sheer genius for thinking of it. Not only does it allow people to buy homemade art and greetings at an affordable price, it also allows you to share it via mail and gifts! What a fun thing to be able to create… especially since my teen dream was to work for Hallmark. Now I can be my own “Hallmark” and do it from home in my PJ’s. Here’s the first one off the press today. I have some printer tweaking to do yet and some other minor adjustments but I should have a line of my greetings up on my Etsy shop by mid March. I’m really hoping you drop in and take a look around.

Yep.. I’m sitting with foot elevated today for a bit playing with art on the computer. It feels good to know I’ll be here without the stink from the two-month-old pink on me SOON! I now have four days left till the big “reveal” and I’m very much so looking forward to it. It’s gonna be an awesome Friday for me this week! Yippee!
